National Guard Weekend

We spent the weekend up in Midway for the Utah National Guard Family Weekend Event. It was at the Stillwater Lodge. Friday evening, we went into Park City for dinner. Afterwards, we found the Raddon plaque on Main Street. I've never seen it before, so it was good to go and find.
On Saturday, Karl had arranged for me to go horseback riding, and he took the boys on an ATV. I think that they had a good time. I know that I did. He got back to the hotel before I did, and so he took the boys swimming. It was neat to see Miles swiming so well. He was able to swim across the pool several times. After lunch, Hunter was completely wiped out and slept for 3 hours (the night before he did not go to sleep until afer 11:00.) That evening, there was a formal awards banquet for the adults. The children had hotdogs and face painting and were babysat during the banquet. Hunter had his face painted like a pirate, and Miles had spiderman on his face. They didn't want their faces washed off. On Sunday morning, Karl had a meeting to attend, and I took the boys back to Park City. I found a playground for them to play at until the meeting was over. As we were leaving and packing up the car, Hunter's hand got shut in the trunk. It was so sad. He was in so much pain and I felt so bad for his hand. He had his blanket, and we got him some ice and some children's motrin. Within 30 minutes, he seemed fine. It was amazing. You'd never know now that anything had happened to him. He's a real trooper.
