We went to Midway with the National Guard for their annual family weekend. We stayed at a very beautiful and nice hotel. It is called the Zermatt and there was lots of fun activities and things to do. Especially for the kids.
On Saturday, they had face painting. Hunter had his hand painted with a pirate theme. Miles had his forehead painted with a shark.
There was a large chess/checker set outside. Miles thought that it was pretty cool.
Their bellhops will do magic tricks. This person was so nice with the boys. He did several card tricks. Miles and Hunter both laughed lots and loved it.
There is a beautiful carousal in their courtyard that you can buy tokens for and ride. We let the boys each have a ride.

Miles played me a good 8-vs-8 abbreviated checkers game. He did not like to lose to me, but we had a good discussion on the way home, about how learning from our losses turns them into more valuable wins in the bigger picture.
