For Cub Scouts this evening, we had planned on visiting the fire station and having a tour. But, as of last week, all tours at the fire stations have been cancelled due to the swine flu. So, wonderful Mike Smith offered to come to us. Only two boys came (plus my boys), but I think that they had a great time. The boys had lots to say. Mike taught them about smoke alarms, co alarms, fire extinguishers, escape routes, accidents, 911, and lots more. He also brought a fireman uniform which they loved trying on, as well as little gifts-pencils, stickers, etc. Thanks so much Mike! It was great.
It was so big and heavy on Hunter that he was happy to take it all off.
