It was a crazy busy week this first week back from Spring Break. In a nut shell, here's what happened -
Monday: Piano lessons, soccer practice, deliver Cub Scout flyers to boys, FHE
Tuesday: Preschool, Cub Scouts, Soccer Game (It was very cold during the game. We had to bundle up.) By the time we left the game, we grabbed a Little Caesars Pizza, and by the time we got home, it was after 8:00. We ate, bathed boys and off to bed.
Wednesday: Preschool, Home Reading volunteer work at Miles' school, catching up on housework, and Karl stayed in SLC for an Adobe meeting.
Thursday: Preschool, tons of laundry, make a decent dinner for my family (which my boys decided was yucky and didn't want.) Karl then headed to the stake center for dodgeball.
Friday: I don't know what possessed me, but I decided to do some major cleaning. I took everything out of my bookcase and straightened it. How does it get so crammed with so much junk??? I threw away a lot of junk and put away lots. It looks tons better. Karl doesn't usually work on Fridays, but he went into work to clean up his office. He said he threw away lots and did lots of straightening up.
Saturday: Soccer game. I realized that Miles was in charge of half time snacks, so I ran up to the store this morning to get some oranges and fruit snacks. Miles is playing so much better. He used to run away from the ball and dance around and spent lots of time on the grass. He now goes after the ball and is enjoying it tons more. However, I'm not sure why his team has so many fewer players than all the other teams. They never have enough people to sub out, and all the kids have to play the entire game. The team they were playing against had 5 or 6 more players, so they were constantly subbing. Miles did great the first half, but by the second half, he'd had it and ended up having a meltdown. He finished the game crying. We went home, had lunch, and then he took a nap. Things are looking up. Karl spent the afternoon working in the yard fixing sprinklers. I went out and weeded. This evening, we are heading to Salt Lake to an arena football game. Karl was given tickets for some work he did for the National Guard.
