Fourth of July Weekend

We had a fun weekend.  On Saturday, we started out by going to Home Depot for Kids Club.  The boys made coaster sets.  They are getting to be quite the little handy men.

We then headed down to Provo for some of the festivities.  There were some colonial days going on.
We were able to see some of the old fashioned tools that the Pioneers and the Colonists would have used.
A man showed them how furniture was made.
There was a blacksmith.  He was melting lead and making bullets.

 Poor Hunter!  Poor Miles!

This was the helmet and shield that would have been worn back then.  It was pretty heavy.
We then headed over to the fair for lunch and entertainment.  We watched some clogging.  The boys had been so good, we told them they could each pick a ride to go on.  (I hate carnival rides personally).
Hunter picked the roller coaster.
Miles picked this ride that went up in the air.
Saturday evening, we went back to Provo and watched the fireworks from on top of a parking garage from the Stadium of Fire.  They were pretty.  Hunter was too tired though and was ready to go home after the first three fireworks went off.

On Monday, we went to Trafalga in Lehi.  It was not very crowded, so we were able to do just about everything.  We did laser tag and miniature golf as well, even though there are no pictures of that.

Miles got soaked on the bumper boats.

That looked like such a fun outing! I'll have to take my kids sometime. Thanks for sharing!
