On Monday, Karl spent all morning at the dentist having a root canal. The rest of us headed to the beach. We went to Balboa Beach, and took the ferry across. Miles and Hunter thought it was pretty neat to take our car on a boat. They enjoyed being with their cousins. Hunter loves his Uncle Kevin.

We thought that the kids would have fun playing in the sand, collecting shells, and getting their feet wet. It was pretty cold and windy, but I put bathing suits on Miles and Hunter just in case they got wet. As these pictures show, the weather didn't really bother them, and they loved playing in the waves.
Hunter got knocked over by a wave. He was a good sport about it and got right back in.
Hunter played with Caitlin all weekend. She is 7 years old, but is small, and Hunter loved being with her.
We walked up the pier, and the kids liked looking in the telescope.
