Miles had a very fun birthday party on Saturday. It was an Army Camouflage party. I wish I took pictures of each of the activities and games that we did, but I was too busy organizing and carrying out the games that I forgot about pictures. This is the cake that I made. I mixed up different colors in the green and brown family and then put a tank and army men on the cake. I think that it came out pretty good.
The children got to decorate hats (paper plates painted green) with paper leaves and branches. Then they had their faces painted. Most of them loved doing this (the girls didn't want paint on their faces.)
Karl all decked out...unfortunately, he didn't feel very good this weekend, and only saw a little of the party before checking himself into bed.
We played Sargent, Sargent, Captain (a version of duck, duck goose.) Then we ate hot dogs for lunch.

Instead of Pin the Tail on the Donkey, we played a similar game with tanks. It was fun watching the kids putting their stickers up. Some of them barely even made it on the wall. I don't have pictures of any of our outdoor games (great weather for February!) We had an obstacle course that they loved. We played Hot Grenade (like hot potato), and Sargent Says (Simon Says). We had a pinata which of course was well enjoyed.

Miles got some wonderful presents. Thanks everyone. I had him sit on the couch and then whoever the present was from came to the couch and sat next to him. I liked how that worked.

Then we had some cake and ice cream. Miles picked out cookie dough ice cream.
After the party was over, some of the neighbors stayed and they played with the presents. Zac brought over his hot wheel race track and put it with the one he had given Miles and they played hot wheels for hours and played outside as well. The party started at 11:30 and I don't think that Hunter and Miles stopped playing with friends until almost 6:00 that evening. SUCCESS!

It was a fun party. Sealmon and Seth talked about it all the way home.

That was SUCH a fantastic party. My kids are still talking about it. You are so clever.

Thanks for having my kids the entire day. You're the best!
